Q&A / Logan Horne on Remaking Vintage Silk Scarves as Shirts and Homeware
South China Morning Post Style, in a Q&A with the founder. Gloria Tso asks how a former fashion buyer and celebrity stylist came to be making cabana shirts, accessories and furniture out of vintage silk scarves. J. Logan Horne traces it to the pandemic, when he was shopping pre-owned listings and noticed how many remarkable scarves were sitting there at reasonable prices, and how much of it came down to overproduction. The first piece he made was The Block, the stool and ottoman hybrid, designed for a cramped New York apartment where seating had to stack.
Horne also talks about being colorblind, which he describes not as a limitation but as the source of a particular eye for pattern and color. The piece notes the brand's following among figures including Travis Kelce and Dwyane Wade, and the curated selection now carried at Beaureguards, the boutique inside Rosewood Hong Kong.
